Foxfire Camping Weekend is a participatory art festival, in the style of Burning Man, with an intended focus on anthropomorphic art and costuming. It's an opportunity for the furry community and the burner community to cross paths in an event that becomes an amalgamation of the two. You don't have to consider yourself a member of either community to participate; everyone is welcome. If you're unfamiliar with either community, take a minute to read about the Furry fandom and/or Burning Man.
Foxfire takes place in the woods of Vermont on a gorgeous private property, with absolutely minimal amenities provided. What makes the event special is that everyone contributes towards making it happen, working together to overcome adversity along the way, and leaving the land as pristine as if we'd never been there. Participants bring all the camping gear, food, drinks, infrastructure, and entertainment. If you're not comfortable with sleeping in a tent, hearing chatter and dance music all night, getting wet and muddy in the rain, and repeatedly climbing a big hill, then this might not be the event for you. Or, it might be the perfect opportunity for you to push your boundaries! But please, choose wisely. You can read a whole lot more in the Guide.
It is entirely up to you how much you would like to participate and contribute. You can socialize, dance, play games, and work on ongoing art projects, or you can join scheduled events like a skill share or art jam, or you can spend your time indulging in the features of the property like the steam bath, the stream with its dipping hole, the SWINGG and its great views, and the fire pits, or you can do a volunteer shift to help people arrive, move firewood, or haul gear up the hill. But you don't have to! We strongly encourage you to participate, and volunteer, but it's not mandatory.
July 20th: Ticket Sales Begin
August 4th: Address and Arrival Instructions Sent to Ticketholders

You can find substantially more information about how to attend the event, and the Rules, by checking out the Guide.
When tickets become available, you'll be able to get them on the Tickets page.
In order for the event to operate, we require some assistance from the participants that requires showing up at a specific place and time. Descriptions of the volunteer roles, and a schedule showing available shifts, are available on our Volunteering section.

Absolutely not! One of the "10 Principles" that govern the event is "radical inclusion". Everyone is welcome to attend the event and find out if it's right for them.
There is no easy answer to this question. Veteran burners will feel right at home. Experienced campers will do well if they can tolerate the noisy, high-density social environment. Furries who've been to many cons will fit in if they can handle being outside. Having the right gear and preparation will get you far.
You are free to leave at any time, but we very strongly discourage participants leaving and then coming back. Exceptions may be grated for emergencies or other limited situations. Part of the challenge of the event is to get by with what you forgot or ran out of, and survive without it or get help from your fellow participants!
Parking, porta-potties, and drinking water from a well. You should bring all of your own resources, or coordinate with other people ahead of time to share things.
The land does contain other amenities, but these are not guaranteed.
Fursuiters are welcome and encouraged! But beware, the land contains mud, trees, rain, fire, water, and many other things that can ruin a fursuit. Bring it at your own risk!

If you have a capable vehicle, and are familiar with the terrian, we will have some periods of time where you will be able to drive to your campsite for unloading and loading your gear. All parking (except by special exception) must be done in the parking lot.
If you arrive outside of vehicle access hours, you may either wait until access is available again, or transport your gear up the hill without your vehicle.
Some volunteers may be available to drive your gear up and down the hill for you, but that is not a guarantee, so please be prepared to exercise radical self-reliance!
